Special Collections
In addition to its general collections of reference works, text monographs, periodicals and research papers, the Library has a number of special subject collections, which have mostly been obtained by donation and bequest. These contain rare, sometimes unique, material that will be of value to researchers.
Some of the collections are:
- Political Archives Project (joint collaboration with the Institute of Commonwealth Studies)
- The library has recently received a donation of Bolivian political ephemera from Institute Director Professor James Dunkerley, more details of which can be found on the Political Archives Project web site.
- Bank of London and South America Collection (BOLSA)
- microMACRO Video Collection The library is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of the entire collection of documentaries on Latin America and the Caribbean from the Tevelvision Trust for the Environment (TVE), funded by the United Nations and Central Television
